General Yoga and Back Care Yoga

Each week, our General Hatha Yoga classes focus on a theme of wellbeing. Classes begin with breath awareness and gentle warm up; followed by a range of postures and practices designed to relieve tension, improve flexibility, nourish your mind body and spirit, strengthen and tone on every level; concluding with a deep relaxation or meditation.

Suitable for all levels including beginners. Not suitable when pregnant (we encourage you to try our Pregnancy Yoga class.)

What is Hatha Yoga?

Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced form of Yoga in the world. Hatha Yoga uses postures (asana) and conscious breathing (Pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility, and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, Hatha Yoga brings balance and a sense of well being to all who practice.

Flow-Based Hatha Yoga uses movement and breath together to produce a "flow” of postures that lead from one to the next.

Class costs

  • Casual day class ~ $12
  • Casual evening class ~ $15
  • Weekly pass ~ $30 (3 classes in one week Monday to Friday)
  • 5 Class Pass to be used within 5 (five) consecutive weeks ~ $60
  • Our studio is equipped with carpet, air conditioning and bathroom facilities. All Yoga props are provided for your comfort.

Beginner Yoga Course 

Beginner Yoga Courses are in 4 week blocks, days and times are listed on the timetable.  Learn the very basis of yoga, the best place to start.  Your body is very important so we learn how to active core muscles, good ways to sit, stand and bend.  Please send me a message and we can find the right class time for you.

Back Care Yoga Course

Back Care Yoga Courses are in 4 week blocks, days and times are listed on the timetable.

Trudy will remind you how to use you core muscles for every day things, not just in class.  If you listen to the story your body is telling you then you have half of what the class is about.  

I had L5 Discectomy in 2016 (was wheelchair bound before surgery) so i understand how you are feeling, the exercises we do are yoga based but all core related and safe for you.  Anyone who has a major issue or conflicting diagnosis then you need medical clearance before participation in class, this is at my own discretion.

Tuesday night is MY night, i attend 5.15pm class every week without fail.

I started going to weekly yoga classes with Trudy almost 4 year ago now.

It has been such a welcoming experience where I can just be myself and leave my worries at the door. Trudy has taught me so much from simple breathing techniques to advanced poses. She offers classes to every person of every stage in every lifestyle.

I have been visiting Trudy at her yoga classes for approximately 18 months, and have been practicing yoga for around 2-3 years. Trudy’s classes are great because they cater to all skill levels and I always leaving energised yet relaxed.

Her guided meditations are some of the best I have experienced and her voice is easy to calm and relax the mind. My flexibility continues to increase with classes with Trudy and I am confident and comfortable in her classes.

I started yoga because for many years i had a sore back and even though you manage pain everyday i really wanted to learn something to help myself. To be honest i didnt think yoga would help but i have been going to Trudy's classes for 3 years now.

I cant say that yoga has fixed my back (only surgery can do that) but i am aware of core stomach muscles, how to use them effectively, bend at the knees, back straight, i could go on forever :) im so happy that i have something in my life that lifts me up.
